Hello! I'm Tristan Perry - a web developer, domainer and website host. I live in Great Britain and am currently studying Mathematics and Computer Science at Cardiff University; my fiancée Catherine studies Religious and Theological Studies at Cardiff University also.
Feel free to contact me with any queries you may have.
My first proper website was called Tau Online, which I created when I was 11. Due to time obligations, I passed Tau Online onto a friend early in 2009. At this time, Tau Online had a very strong search engine ranking (top 3 spot for the word "Tau", despite Tau being a letter of the Greek alphabet and having around 58 million competing pages on Google!), hundreds of pages of website content, over a million forum posts and around 10,000 members.
I have also created and run a range of other websites for myself and/or for customers.
I've also been into 'domaining' - i.e. buying and selling internet domain names - since Feb 07. It's an enjoyable hobby, one which complements my web development too. See the domains page for more information.
I would consider myself to be proficient in XHTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and Java. I'm also well versed in hosting websites on Unix-based systems. Whilst I enjoy website design, since I am colour blind I tend to prefer development and programming over designing.
In 2009 I written a 47-page virtual report called Hosting Unleashed, which can now be downloaded for free via this website.
